JMWU is alarmed by the intimidation of a Russian journalist

On Monday night, intruders set fire to the car of Marina Malkova, a znak.com correspondent in Chelyabinsk. The editorial board described the situation diplomatically, saying that “the incident could be related to her professional activity.” But according to our information, none of her colleagues doubts the connection between the fire and her work.

The main version is that the barbaric act was a response to the publication of Marina’s September 2020 article, which accused a local criminal not only of committing a crime, but also of trying to escape responsibility.

Our organization hopes that the police investigation in connection with the arson of our colleague’s car will be carried out quickly and efficiently, and that the perpetrators and the sponsors of the crime will be punished. We will monitor the situation closely.
